What Data I Collect & Why
This site collects minimal personal data. Here is what I collect and the lawful basis for each:
Contact enquiries (name, email address, service interest, budget range, and message): sent through Formspree when you submit the contact form, or received by email when you contact me directly. Lawful basis: legitimate interest — to respond to your business enquiry and discuss the services you've requested. Formspree processes form submissions on my behalf; see its privacy policy.
Optional analytics and advertising are temporarily paused. This freelance website does not load Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager or Google AdSense while the pause is in place. The contact form remains available.
Cookies
Optional analytics and advertising remain off for both new visits and visits with previously saved choices. There are no controls to enable them during this pause.
This website does not read, save or change optional-cookie preferences during the pause. Preferences and cookies used by other parts of this domain are left untouched.
The pause does not erase data already sent to providers or cookies already stored. Reload any page opened before the pause to stop its previously loaded optional scripts.
Third-Party Services & Data Processors
I use the following third-party services that may process your data:
Formspree Inc. (United States): processes contact form submissions on my behalf. Formspree stores submission data on servers in the United States. See their privacy policy.
Google LLC (United States): supplies the web fonts used by this website and the email service used to receive and reply to enquiries. Formspree forwards enquiry notifications to this mailbox. Optional Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google AdSense services are currently paused. See Google's privacy policy.
GitHub Inc. (United States): hosts this website on GitHub Pages. GitHub may collect technical logs including IP addresses as part of their hosting infrastructure. See GitHub's privacy statement.
International Data Transfers
Using these services involves processing outside the UK. Formspree states that it hosts its services in the United States and relies on standard contractual clauses as a processor; see its security and privacy information. Google and GitHub describe their international processing and transfer arrangements in the privacy notices linked above. Data Retention
Enquiries that do not become a project are kept for up to 12 months after our last contact, then deleted from the freelance Formspree archive and my enquiry mailbox. This includes direct emails, form notifications and follow-up replies.
If an enquiry becomes a project, relevant correspondence is kept while the project is active and afterwards only for as long as needed to meet accounting or legal obligations or resolve a dispute. Those purposes determine the retention period for the relevant records.
The tracking pause does not delete data previously sent to analytics providers. Previously saved cookie preferences may remain in your browser, but this website does not read or change them during the pause.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access — request a copy of any personal data I hold about you.
- Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data.
- Right to restrict processing — request that I limit how I use your data.
- Right to data portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Right to withdraw consent — contact me using the email below about any processing based on your consent. Optional analytics and advertising are currently paused on this website.

If you believe your data protection rights have not been respected, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO):

Children's Privacy
This website is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age. I do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal data through the contact form, please email me and I will delete it promptly.
