Your Files Stay on Your Device

All file-processing tools — including the PDF Merger, Image Compressor, QR Code Generator, Password Generator, Invoice Generator and Word Counter — run entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. Your files, images, PDFs, passwords, invoice data and text are never uploaded to any server. They are processed locally on your device and remain completely private.

The Currency Converter fetches live exchange rates from the Frankfurter API (European Central Bank data). Only the currency pair is sent — no personal data. The Timezone Converter and Lorem Ipsum Generator require no external requests at all.

You can verify this: open your browser's Network tab (F12) while merging a PDF or compressing an image — you will see zero file upload requests.

Analytics Data

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) via Google Tag Manager (GTM-54K98MWX) to collect anonymised usage data. This is loaded only after you accept analytics cookies via our consent banner. Data collected includes pages visited, time on page, tool usage patterns, device type, browser type, and approximate geographic region. This data is anonymised and cannot identify you personally.

Cookies

Our cookie consent banner gives you the choice to accept or reject non-essential cookies. Essential cookies store your consent preference only. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) are set only if you accept. No cookies are required for any tool to function. You can change your preferences by clearing your browser's localStorage.

Advertising

We may display advertisements through Google AdSense, which uses cookies to serve relevant ads. AdSense cookies load only after consent. Manage your ad preferences at Google Ads Settings or opt out at Your Online Choices.

Third-Party Services

Third-party services: Google Analytics (anonymised usage, post-consent), Google AdSense (advertising, post-consent), and Frankfurter API (exchange rates, no personal data). Google may transfer data outside the UK under standard contractual clauses. Google privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. We do not sell or share personal data with any other party.

Data Retention

Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months. We maintain no database of user data or uploaded files. Since all tool processing is client-side, we have no file data to retain.

Your Rights Under UK GDPR

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to: access your personal data; request correction or deletion; object to processing; withdraw cookie consent at any time; and complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
