Automatically detects bullish and bearish order blocks with institutional refinement, mitigation tracking and breaker block identification.
What Are Order Blocks?
An order block is the last candle of opposing colour before an impulsive displacement move. In ICT methodology, it marks the price range where institutions accumulated positions before driving price aggressively in one direction. When price returns to this range, remaining institutional orders may still be resting there — creating a high-probability reaction zone.
This indicator automates the entire process: detection, refinement, mitigation tracking, and breaker identification — all in real time across any market and timeframe.
Key Features
Bullish & Bearish OB Detection
Identifies the last down/up candle before impulsive displacement. Requires a Break of Structure to confirm the OB is valid — filtering out weak moves that don't qualify under ICT methodology.
CE 50% Line
Plots the mean threshold of every OB. The CE (Consequent Encroachment) is the entry signal in ICT — price reaching the 50% level of an OB is the precision entry trigger, giving much better risk-to-reward than the full zone.
Mitigation Tracking
OBs change colour when price returns and mitigates the zone. Mitigated OBs can be hidden or kept visible for context — useful for identifying levels where institutions have already been filled.
Breaker Blocks
When a mitigated OB fails to hold and price continues through, it flips to a breaker block — a high-probability reversal zone in the opposite direction. Breakers are displayed in a distinct colour to differentiate them from active OBs.
Quadrant Quality Filter
Automatically dims low-quality OBs. Bullish OBs forming in premium (above equilibrium) and bearish OBs forming in discount are statistically weaker — the filter flags these so you focus on the highest-probability setups.
Multi-Timeframe Overlay
Plot HTF order blocks directly on your current chart. See 1H or 4H OBs while trading the 5m — essential for top-down ICT analysis without switching charts.
Settings Reference
Works On
All forex pairs, indices (US30, NAS100, SPX), crypto (BTC, ETH), commodities (Gold, Oil). Best timeframes: 1m, 5m, 15m for intraday; 1H, 4H for swing trading. The MTF overlay works on any timeframe combination.
Recommended Setup
Start with Require BOS: On and Quadrant Quality Filter: On to see only the highest-quality OBs. Set HTF Timeframe to one timeframe above your execution chart (trading 15m → set HTF to 1H). Enable CE Touch alerts and set them on TradingView to notify when price reaches the precision entry level. Combine with the Fair Value Gap Scanner for confluence — an OB that also contains an FVG is a premium entry zone in ICT methodology.
